Unable to login. I tried all possible combinations to discover what "user" is (email, team, name, surname) but none worked.

I've signed up and played a bit but it lacks the instant player interaction imo

or I missed it to be able to compete instantly vs other same ranked players instead of the NPCs

That's a nice point mdshare.... I wanted to allow only "experienced" players to compete against other human but, as I see, I may be wrong in my concept. I consider playing vs. PC like a "training" but I may be wrong... Would you suggest to allow playing vs other human players from the begining?

Thanks for your tip!  ;)

Online games are in a way a hidden form of social networks.

Player interaction is one of the keys to success in owning/publishing a game.

That's a very interesting approach... I built a Forum and a chat in my web just in order to promote user interaction but I completely forgot that maybe my game isn't helping user interaction!! Actually, the more I think about it, the more sense it makes to give people the chance to play versus other humans...

One thing that could be worth considering is that not all your potential players will want to engage in competing against other players directly...perhapse allowing an opt-in system at the begining might be good....

the classic noob protection if you will.....youve got it untill you break it, or it runs out.

The other thing that you might like to consider is that its not allways necessary to make the social interaction directly competitive, you can also play around with co-operative interaction....

The game is very complex but gives a few decision options only. You basicly decide on prices, production volume and how many products put on sale on each zone. There are tons of unimportant information (like number of trucks on transport expenses). It could be greatly simplified without damaging the gameplay. I think there is too much micromanagement of a company without enough strategic level options. Maybe cut down all the statistics and numbers and give option to hire/fire workers and set their salary, buy new machines/factories to increase production volume, open new distibution centres to increase marketing strength. The game feels very one-sided right now.

Nice ( and very accurate ) analysis Chris... THANKS!!

We know that we left out a lot "manufacturing" stuff out... We found that many "alpha-players" didn't want to base the strategy in operations... Don't ask me why... I'm also an Engineer and love numbers!  :) That's why we go away from operative optimisation and try to put the emphasis on sales, marketing and "market war" ( I don't know if that concept even exists...  ??? )

Anyway, we may have gone too far away from the operative point of view?... We'll think about that... Thanks again Chris!

For the rest: We made it! No more barriers to play vs. other Human players... Let's see how it goes! I'll keep you informed!!

Thanks mdshare, jannesiera, Scion and Chris! :D

After 3 weeks ( and as promised ) I'd like to share feedback with you.

As mdshare, jannesiera, Scion and Chris recommended, we at www.bossingame.com opened the possibility for participants to play amongst them directly. Boosting this "social contact" among users has had a very nice effect. We have now visitors who stay longer in the web, show an increased loyalty and chat freely during the games. The forum has also helped a lot.

Definitely it was a good decision. Thanks all for the tips!
