I always wanted to do it, to start the hype before the game is even ready :D So, feel free to visit the page below, even though you won't find the game there yet! :D

An epic struggle to win the Imperial Throne starts soon! Space combat, ground units, economy,  imperial & planetary politics. All this will await you (when I finish the game of course, but that's a minor detail, isn't it?)!

lol I'm definitely guilty of this. I had a forum that I hosted on my personal machine and eventually had to shut it down because I was getting enough traffic that between that and my normal system services there were no resources left for me to USE the machine! lol

To make matters worse, I've scrapped the initial design and haven't had time to get back around to it (divorce and scrambling to find a new job has a way of eating into one's free time lol).

The positive aspect is that I can take advantage of the new features in PHP 5.3 this time around. So, at least, I'll have a small time gain from not having to type really_long_prepended_name_to_function (). lol Of course, that's AFTER I get my home life stable again. :P

Update:
New picture on the website! A shocking quality picture of tank added. Soon you will be able to send these to torment your enemy and win resources for your noble cause.

The game is in pre-alpha stage. We are testing core features (which are 70% finished). If lucky the game should be up within 1-2 months.

What do you think about this banner?


Also I need a promotional text (the one you put as game description on toplists). "Imperator of the known galaxy is old and have no heir, noble families from all worlds struggle to win his favour and be the next to to take the throne." or something similar (the shorter the better, this one is a bit too long, one line brings more players from my expereince).

Wow, got 7 players from this forum in a week. Seems like building up anticipation by posting before the game is ready works, usually I get less :)

Now, your feedback please, do not be shy, tell me what you think. What are the weak points and what are the strong ones? What needs changing/adding/removing before Beta can be started? Do not be afraid, I do not get mad, I'm always polite to testers, I never cut down head of the messenger of bad news. I'm a pro game owner, making games is my job, if I screw up I don't have breakfast and freeze during winter, that's why I won't get mad and shout at you if I don't like what you think. All I want is to make this game a success, to track things that needs fixing and to understand what works so I don't break it by mistake. I registered but I have been overhelmed by the variables your game has;

I would suggest:

1 for testers: at least a quick-start section (apologies if there is and i could not find it)
2 for players: i would simplify the game or i would organize it in a way that is more clear about what to do

if you manage to solve the point 1, i can do some testing, i like to help people trying hard to create something.

Who said it was unique and original, or boring? Sunchaser thought it was to complex, Forgotten thought it was like your other games.

Nobody on here said anything like boring or unique ;).

Anyway, don't have time to test it out right now, but I'll let you know when I get to it, okay? :D

If you took my comment as it was boring than I apologize......I was just commented on that I thought it looked similar to your other games. I haven't gotten a chance to really play it, so I can't honestly make an accurate opinion yet. I'll comment better when I've played it some.

No, no, I generalised, it was not about these two post, but about all feedback I got total so far (I don't use this forum only). And I beg you, do not say sorry for your comments (whatever these would be) or hesitate to tell what you think. It is the last moment for me to get feedback, after I start Beta it will be too late to make drastic changes.

I improved University, but costs went up for Industry, City Level, and Palace Level; I think only University upgrading price should level up?

It is correct. Improvements have shared cost to make more interesting strategic choices. If these were separate, the strategy would be trivial, buy everything equally. With shared cost you need to choose on which to focus.

Back to the question about advertising text (perfectly 1 line long). Any ideas?
