Na, I learned php/mySQL from the internet. Just find some tutorials and some good forum sites. I also used the public library to get a few reference books. After that just try writting some code. You can't expect to sit and write a game your first time out. Start smaller. Make a simple html form that submits data to mySQL. Once you can do that, retreive the data back from mySQL and display it on a webage.
