I wouldn't mind one of the game scripts but find it hard to make 100 posts just to do this. Have you ever taken into consideration that by doing this might be a good idea in one way but will generate alot of spam as some people might only come on here wanting the scripts.

They will just post crap to get the scripts and you probabily wont see them again. I run a car cruising club and had a similar thing intergrated in my forums and it was just a ball ache. I found it easier to just let people get what they want and majority of the people stayed anyway.

Hmm... I'll think about adding some Guest Downloads then. You can download files in those for just being a member, no post count needed, but then the vault will contain some really special stuff

It's your board and you don't have to listen to my opinion. I can bet 80% of the members are just waiting to reach 100 posts so they can download the scripts and won't return. If they are true members then they will keep coming back and contributing towards the board.

I am learning PHP/SQL etc so your site may be able to help me. I will try and help out the best I can but my knowledge on this kind of stuff at the minute is at the very basics.

You may be right pug, some are just going to make the 100 posts and then split, but thats them.  Hopefully some will stick around and then use the scripts they got and ask questions and use them as learning tools.  If the idea is to really learn php then just getting a few scripts won't help you and if you just take them right out and set them up, you will look like every other joe with a box stock game site.  Not really to interesting if you ask me.

That is true, I have reached 100 posts.. I have downloaded the scripts yet im still here  I will try to learn something from the downloaded scripts but very much doubt it. There very similar to the one I already have.

Hi there,
I am still new to the site, and I am very interested in learning from the scripts as I like more learning from examples rather than from books and tutorials. I prefer the hands-on approach.

I know I got along way to go before reaching the 100, but I'd appreciate a lot if somebody give the list of the games in the vault and a brief description of each of them. I am guessing there are a few games like 5-10 or so, so hopefully this wont be a pain.  I am still in the process of learing html/php/javascript/css/ajax and I'll try to stick around to ask for help with some issues that i'll have while learning.  I guess getting the downloads in itself is a motivation to stick around and learn a few along the way.

I didn't count, but I think the scripts in the scripts vault range from 15-20... They are not all complete game scripts though. Some of the files are just small addons you can change so it can go in your game.
