Browser-Based Game Zone just got its own IRC channel

The server is GameSurge, you can get a list of their servers here:
http://www.gamesurge.net/servers/

The channel is #bbgamezone and there's no password.

If you use Firefox and you don't have an IRC client, I recommend downloading the add-on called ChatZilla. Or else, you could use the chat page from GameSurge: http://www.gamesurge.net/chat/

PS. I'm new with running my own channel on IRC, so if somebody has some more experience running a channel, you might want to PM me

I looked at quakenet, netgamers, and a few other servers but it was easiest to create a channel on gamesurge with a bot

Some more advertising for a chat could be usefull...

I'd love one on this site. Then you could also add to someones profile if they are on the chat. (like online)

If you don't want to go trough the trouble of putting one on the site, then atleast put a HUGE linkbutton on the forum page to teh IRC channel...

We did not take over the chat room with the forum. So, having zero control over it, we can't really advocate its use.

It's an IRC channel, so they have to go through the IRC server's ChanServ bot or the administration for the server itself to get the operator status of the channel. Otherwise, a password is usually required to identify yourself with ChanServ.
