I'm there from time to time, chatting with Doidel :) and it was just chat, nothing that would overlap with forum and other members can benefit from.

Because of the nature of the forum, it's not really good to post in offtopic section much, I appreciate this as I don't have to deeply think every time
whether my post is valuable enough, often resulting in deleting what I've been writing

It's not about it being "ours" in the sense that you seem to be taking it. It's about it being an off-site link that we have no way to monitor, no say in how people are treated, etc, yet it would bear the name of this forum. If people wish to use it, that's fine, but we can't very well go endorsing something like that.

Freenode provides chanserv and spam control, so we don't need a bot.

Channel has been very active the last week or so with several people actively devloping and chatting about their games.
