Hi. Looking to make browser-based wargame hooked into existing Invision (IP.Board) forum software (i.e., membership, login, auth, user profiles are already taken care of).
I am a mediocre coder at best. I don't have the skills to do this myself, and my time constraints from my job are another factor.
In a nutshell this requires:
1. fake money (i.e. user gets 1 unit of fake money per post to spend in-game)
2. group system where a 'king' can invite/boot players from his/her group/kingdom. Users can join/leave.
3. combat/spying
4. building construction
5. assign army
6. simple stock market
7. items to equip
8. admin control panel access for settings for all of the above
* We will discuss payment. I don't expect you to do this for free. I can furnish you with my real world professional references if you wish.
* I can provide you with a detailed document explaining what happens due to any given circumstance (e.g. user attempts to construct building, check against current funds, if fail then display x, etc.)
* I can provide you with a database ERD (entity relationship diagram) that shows what new tables must be added and how they all relate to each other.
* I can provide you with a testing server to work on.
* Please give me a deadline you can adhere to.
* Would prefer fellow New Yorker, but I will work with MSN/Yahoo/Gmail chat/IM. You should have that as well.
I can furnish you with resources about how to hook into the forum software.
