Hey - I have a cunning plan!

Been reading http://buildingbrowsergames.com/ for a while now and though ok lets actually BUILD a game, so while the sun was out today and I was relaxing in the park I whipped up a  quick game idea in 5mins or so.

Let me know what you think! It is just an initial overview no real coding or game mechanics has been given any thought so critique welcome (as are volunteer coders ;) )

Battle Of The Gods - Browser Based Game - Ideas

Premis
--------

Two aspects Misson and Arena

Misson Mode = Complete missions to gain / unlock bonuses for Arena and Village and Gold / XP and random % for 'God Points'
Arena Mode = Players control fighters, who battle it out in the arena and earn gold, xp and random % for 'God Points'


Gold and XP = spent on fighter equipments / their village etc
God Points are used by the player to unlock 'upgrades'...ie more fighters...miricales etc
X no of attacks per fighter per day.

- Can Upgrade God Powers... spend GP
- Can attack other temples using army (select a rival village ... and no of men being sent) - Can send a arena warrior for added bonuses.
- Player can follow a 'Great Path' ...destruction nature etc ...Practical terms = different 'upgrade trees'
- Each Player gets the Default Tree + Path Tree where God points (GP) can be spent.
- Sees 'Buildings' and can click to enter and do building function and see 'upgrade cost' etc
- Sees Warrior Stats / Go To


- Go TO ARENA
- Go TO MISSION
- Go TO HIGH PRIEST
- Go TO MARKETPLACE - Sell items etc

Action Points = Modified By Level * Agility % (so Level 2 = 1 AP more than Lvl 1 etc) - All attacks = -1AP

Attack Power = Strength * Bonuses
Defence Power = (%Strength * Bonuses) + (Agility * Bonuses)
Dodge = [(Player Agility - Opponent Agilty)+ 10 ]% Chance
Special Attack = SA Damage * %Int ...Further cost =(Mana cost - Focus %)
Crit Hit = SA or AP + (SA or AP *%)

Damage = AP - DP
Death = 0!
Win = Last man standing

- Agility = Controls Dodge, Improves defence and Crit Hit Chance
- Stamina = Amount of hitpoints
- Intelligence = Amount of 'mana'.
- Focus = Effects regeneration of Health and Mana

Fighter Death = Loss of some XP / Gold / 1AP (only if one fighter only) and = Hospitalized

- One default arena where PvP takes place
- Higher levels = Unlock new arenas which have bonuses / entry requirements .. sword only arenas ... no armour .. need X sword X level
- Unlock new arena by beating NPC arena boss,

- High Priest

Can use one free 'blessings' that can be unlocked as you progress / complete mission.
Blessings Last X amount of time or till death, can be stat bonuses / chance for first strike etc ...
Some blessings require 'ingredients' (obtained via mission mode or building a specialist building)

- Chosen Fighter

Once Player unlocks more than one fighter he has to pick a 'chosen one' ... (Certain GP can only effect CO)
Killing him will result in greater XP / Gold...
winning against one = Greater Xp/Gold
Only a CO can challenge a CO in a fight
Only CO can play 'mission mode'

- Contains Quests etc
- 'Godly Missions'
   - e.g. burn down rival monastery ... = +XP (for selected warrior) & Unlock 'cookie cutter' fighters you can buy or certain God powers
   - To go down X path you need to do missions XYZ
   - Missions require Items which have to be brought or you get by doing other missions.
   - Unlock buildings / Fighter bonuses
   - Gain gold / XP & %GP
   - certain warriors can do certain missions .. these warriors are unlocked / brought etc

Monetization

- Selling 'cookie cutter' fighters etc
- Selling certain 'Special' Items / Blessings / 'God Powers'
- Selling God Points
- Pay to turn of default ads. (simple Query If X=1 display of 0 dont etc)

Instead of cash you could use Pay Per Lead stufff ...like complete offer X for Prize Y to get the 'free' users and users nto willing to pay cash.

Nice idea, I came up with a similar idea a couple weeks ago, but it wasn't as in depth as yours is. I hope to see this become real game.

sounds like a good idea... now to start creating it :D I look forward to possibly playing the finished or released game when done as far as browser games come to being done :D
Dont knock on deaths door... ring the dorbell and run away, thats what I do!
