A downloadable game (that looks a lot like
a browser game) called Cosmic Supremacy has started a variant server they're calling
Team Galaxy.
Two preset teams are fighting for dominance in the galaxy. Each team controls one "side" of the galaxy (cube). All players within a team are allied with each other, share line-of-sight and are at war with all players of the other team - by default.
Sounds like an interesting variation for a game with finite rounds to try.
