Adminer.. An alternative to phpMyAdmin
« on: February 04, 2011, 11:53:18 AM »
When you start to have a large number of databases phpMyAdmin performance slows to a crawl due to there aggresive use of various 'show' commands. I found an alternative that is blazing fast and is just one single php file!

Adminer

I've started to use this as my primary interface to mySQL and am slowly moving away phpMyAdmin as it provides a lot of the same functionality with a very clean and very fast interface.

Just started using Adminer recently too ... although the comparison with pMA is kinda questionable

@Sunchaser well it's a single file, so just save it somewhere and it's done

btw. he also made http://www.notorm.com, although I prefer Doctrine2 (which is orm), someone might like it
(questionable comparison again :) )
btw2. a not so obvious feature - you can edit content of a cell by dbl-clicking on it
