So.. I see a lot of games, even small indie games have ToS's and privay policies, etc.

Where do you get these from? Do you write them?

Myself, I've never actually had one on any game, and I haven't had any reason to. (I wouldn't know where to get one even if I wanted to.)

What is the point of these? Are they necessary?

I have seen 2 games got sued because a player felt that the game was responsible for another players insults in the ingame chat. One had ToS, another one didn't and the one with the ToS just pointed it out that the game takes no resposibility what happens in the chat and won the case, another had to pay a small amount to that player.

You can just read trough few of them and after that just make one.

So you're saying, if I want one, I should just read somebody else's ToS, then write one myself based on what I read?
