Panopticlick
« on: January 28, 2010, 09:14:13 AM »
The EFF has a new project called Panopticlick looking at identifying browsers without using cookies and instead using things like browser string, plugins, fonts, etc. Could be some nice ideas for catching multis. :)

Visit #bbg on irc.freenode.net to talk browser games anytime.

I checked this out the other day. I got a "your browser appears to be unique".

I do agree that the technology would be pretty useful for catching multis, though (as the site mentions) if the "multi-er" (is that the correct term?) were to use Firefox running on an XP machine, they'd show up a less unique computer. Though, I do doubt that most multis don't keep up with the latest Internet news.
I'm not slacking off. My code's compiling.
