It's kind of a niche market at the moment so there's not a ton of resources out there. From what I've heard, this is one of (if not the) the best places for bbg help. Most of the forum members have jobs or attend some sort of learning institution and can't be online 24/7. Usually you'll receive a reply within short order, however.

I should point out, though, that it is considered poor form to spam single-sentence replies to old topics. I see that somebody has already karma smited you for it.

Some of us (myself included) have the RSS feed setup and only log on if something we feel like replying to comes across it. Visitors counted as "logged in" at the bottom of the site can be misleading. ;)

Yeah, but still, this forum isn't very active, perhaps we should be finding ways to get more people towards this website?!
I mean BBG developing etc is very popular!

Guests online wasn't that many either :/
I can see where you are coming from, so for example if I had posted a question that was worthwhile :D you would have answered, or hopefully more people! *lol*

I'd rather have less people than encourage the drones of people that edit open source scripts a little and call themselves bbg developers.  At least when the posts do come they're usually worth reading.

Thats quite funny, I've found the same kind of problem within MMORPG Private Servers. They edit the scripts, and then call themselves pro in Lua for example! Then you ask them to make a new function or question them on the script and they have no idea what to say! *lol*

Always going to come across people like that! =P

Dear Andy, if you're serious about developing a quality persistent browser based game this is the place to be. That's also partly the reason why you don't see that many users online and why the forum seems inactive if you're only a member since a few days. The members of this forum usually only post if it's worthwhile the effort.

I think everybody here appreciates your enthusiasm but on the other hand you spamming old threads may not be the most elegant way to show that. I personally find it a little bit offending that you immediately create a new forum and advertise it on here. I completely understand your motivation but it's not very respectful to the forum administrators who do a very good job in managing the forum.

Instead, why don't you tell us more about the game you want to create? Perhaps we can push you in the right direction...

Yeah, it would be nice for the forum to be a little bit more active, but quality is greater than quantity :)
