After 7+ years I finally (thanks to Nyx's research) have a new computer!!! I hate breaking in a new system and fight it tooth and nail (is this a programmers trait?).
The system I'm retiring is a AMD single core 2.0 ghz handed down to me by a friend because he felt sorry for my, the graphics card was so bad (slow) its not even worth mentioning what the stats were LOL, 1 gig of memory and (at the very least) I had a SATA only because the old hard drive died. Wrote a TON of code on this machine

Every morning when I woke up I would have to wiggle the mouse around then go make coffee and by the time I got back most of the info would have swapped back from the HD to memory and the computer would be usable.
For those interested the new computer is an AMD Phenom II x4, 4 gigs of RAM, 6800 series Radeon graphics card and (once I get exchange on a bad drive they sent me) dual 650g that will be setup RAID 1. This is also my first real hands on with windows 7. I've played with it a bit, Nyx has had it for a while it, but now I'm being forced to use it. So far it's pretty decent, always a pain to try and find things (drive sharing was a pain) but overall not bad.
So now with my super duper fast computer I will be able to write buggy error ridden code 10x faster then before
