I mostly use limewire for music stuff.
Downloading anything besides that I'll mostly use bittorrent.

Limewire's best...but I'm also wondering if the feds won't shut down these free applications like what they did to Napster. Anyone heard of that or is it just me?

The reason napster was shut down was because they actually hosted the files.
No copycat p2p since napster has had serverside, therefore removing any legal liability from themselves: The users can get sued, but not the program makers.

I use mIRC but really its not a p2p program, but its where I download everything. mIRC is very useful when you find out how to search for the files you need, and since not many idiots use it there is a smaller chance of viruses.
