I use http://www.000webhost.com/. Its a free web host that is as good as paid hosting. So far it serves the purposes I need, but I think that if you don't get like 10 visitors in 30 days, they ask you if they can delete your site to make room for others (as they only make money from donations, they can't afford to keep sites that nobody visits). If you get this message, you can tell them to protect it from deletion.
