Domain.com hosting
« on: January 28, 2009, 07:49:15 PM »
Hello. I am new to programming and hosting and such and i have a browser based game i am trying to upload to my host server. I am having serious bad issues with it and cannot get it to work. Does anyone have any advice. Was domain.com a good choice of hosting for a browser based mmorpg?

ok looks like you need to change permissions on game folder. Use your ftp to chmod it to most likely 777

oh, thats easy to fix. You need to set permissions to the files that install.php is trying to modificate. At the moment it can't write the required information and thats why it doesn't work.

The script actually tells you what you need to do; make folders name "cache" to every subfolder and give permission to edit them to the script.

I can send you pics of my cocks if you want reference.

i have made the cache folders and everything else but that still shows up. as for the permissions i am not sure which files need to be 777 unless they all need to be.

The easiest way is to set everything to 777, unless you actually look trough the install.php file and see what it is trying to modify.
