I use dreamhost.com, and while my plan isn't literally unlimited, the disk space/bandwidth caps are so high that it might as well be.

There's no such thing as unlimited bandwidth and web space when it come to web hosts. They may say your getting unlimited but you never do.

I'd recommend staying away from hosts that promise 'unlimited' or 'unmetered' space/bandwidth.
They've probably got some fine print that will allow them to suspend your account for no reason at all.

If you want unmetred go for http://dts-net.com/ but... they are not really professional. To illustrate their support laziness I will say that I have asked to cancel my account and stopped paying like 2 years ago, they still did not remove my site from their host. I doubt they will kick you out no matter how much you use and what you do (I used to burn up to x15 CPU time, while on most hosts they kick you out if you reach x0.1).

For normal host (with support and everything) I suggest bluerazor.com they are OK. Bear in mind their control panel is poor (but still have all basic stuff). The uptime is excellent (servers can be laggy sometimes).

Of course if you want really professional service discard shared and go for VPS/dedicated. knownhost.com is good.

A little tip about using a VPS, go with Xen based virtual servers.  This will prevent hosts form overselling of server resources.

I think bluerazor.com is just a reseller of godaddy. Godaddy is a popular web host, I haven't tried them myself though.

I would search for godaddy reviews before going with them just so you know what you can expect :)

LunarPages has high disk space and high bandwidth (15 TB/month) and has been very reliable for me.  I've been hosting with them for a few weeks now and have had no downtime as far as I've noticed.

Dreamhost on the other hand had problems the entire time I was hosting with them.  I would NOT recommend them at all.

I was using free webhost when I first start up with my browser game and eventually turned to paid hosting.
you really need a paid service when you want something really reliable.

I agree about Dreamhost, but let me add Lunarpages to the list of offenders. In addition to having only moderately trained support staff, I've seen three script-based spam viruses show up on the shared server I inhabited, as well as a lot of other strange behavior such as periodically disappearing index pages. They will pick up the phone and talk to you, though, just don't expect much professionalism or security awareness.
