This post is contradicting. Is this free hosting or free sub domain? Or both? lol

free subdomain i would say. point me to where i can find a free domain & i will take my hat off, cut into littles bits & create a 5 course meal for myself & all my friends - dinner for 1.
have used frihost in the past - cant say i have too many fond memories.
but then again haven't found too many free hosts that do come up with the goods.
not exactly ideal marketing strategy - cos i would be inclined to buy premium services if the free shite was acceptable.

btw - still looking

I recently saw a lot of ***.110mb.com sites popping up.

I took a look for myself on their site and if it really is true what they are promising, then this would be quite a nice webspace provider.

Has anyone heard of this site before and can comment on how well they are doing their job?

yer, i have used 110mb & clones before too, they don't have crontabs, which is a bit of a pain in the ass.
i think http://ej.am is probably one of the better ones i have found yet, although u do need to post in their forums & remain fairly active.

well if you need cronjobs, I'm sure there are also free sites that offer cronjobs.

Or at least there is a german site I know of and used up till a short time ago (finally figured out how to enable crontabs on my host)

To be honest, you should be able to get a domain before looking to start a game. Otherwise you really wont be that dedicated to it.

Well, domain names are no problem for me :)

I have been using the same name for my games for... 3 years now. This can only work because I usually take down a game when a new one is started/completed.

@sanland: I would disagree here. If you aren't sure you can finish a game, then why not start it on your local machine and when you see that you made progress that is worth putting more energy and time into, then it's time to register a domain.
Before that, I would say it's a waste of money.
