I'll be honest. The site is very broken. There's Lorem Ipsum text in various places, including the entire privacy policy. Are we supposed to believe that someone really wrote their testimonial in Latin? And if you're offering hosting, then why are the site's <img> files hosted on photobucket? I don't think anyone will believe that this is a professional site.

Well... the unlimited space is not unheard of, the same as "unlimited traffic", the latter used much more frequently (almost always) and also cannot be true. In case of HDD there's often publicly displayed guaranteed minimum, in case of traffic unspoken maximum they will allow you and then deal with it...
The fact that host specs aren't true because of this obviously doesn't bother them Smiley
Never seen "unlimited DB" space though...

But still what nano wrote stands

Logo is extremely amateur...so I wonder the author's really are the authors of the rest of website

I don't really get the whole idea of unlimited marketing when there of course is a limitation... it's like selling a car with an "unlimited" engine size when in fact it's a 1.6, or a car with an "unlimited top speed" when in fact, it is limited. Seems pretty dumb to me. There will of course be certain businesses who have the infrastructure to maintain "unlimited" disk space etc with huge storage arrays and as long as website performance isn't effected this is fine.. but for the majority, "unlimited" just isn't possible when the site is sitting on one or two disks inside the same machine its running from. It sounds silly but it obviously works, otherwise this guy wouldn't be here recommending the web host! I can't think of many industrys that actually oversell as much as the hosting industry, perhaps telecommunications or whatever it's called - you know, mobile contracts with "unlimited minutes" - those are the kind of operations that can be advertised as unlimited though because they have the network to oversell that much... until New Year hits and the phonelines drop!

To the OP: I suggest you go and spend some time reading at webhostingtalk.com, lovely community, lots of useful information regarding the web hosting market. Unlimited resources is not a realistic possibility, certainly not for that price. If you value your website, spend a bit more money on a quality host who cares - for shared hosting I always recommend EZPZhosting.co.uk, they're UK based which is good for me but have systems in the USA too. Oh and don't be fooled by the whole unlimited thing.. disk space for one is certainly limited and with most hosts they would not be able to sustain more than a few hundred gig per server (the host's T&C will tell you all about in which ways you really are limited, which throws their "unlimited" features out of the window).

Ahhh I hadn't realised it was your website.

Yeah, like I said above, link me to those unlimited hard disks please.

Improve your business... do some reading and posting at webhostingtalk.com. I think you will learn a lot.

yes thank you guys for your input right now i'm still developing the site, I was was like many of you making browser based web games. So far host seems very stable No down time. As far space Unlimited just about every I can add. What i was thanking is that I can limit members to about 500 this way Unlimited is truly what it is. If any of you want to host there own site with cpanel just let me know your from bbgame zone and I will hook you up.

godaddy $80-99 mo
hostgater has limits $20 per
hosting 14 everything $4.99

looking for more advice on building this site thanks

In the first post you say that you're using the host and in this post you say you develope it...that's kinda sneaky Wink

The comparison of course pretty favors you but in these cases some people often try to find out what's the catch (especially me Smiley ), you know - well known people sell something for X and someone new sells something allegedly better for X/20

Unlimited...so if I pay you $5/month I can use say 15TB of HDD? Just speculating...

I'm not sure it's a good idea to launch obviously unfinished site... in homepage buttons in the top "banner" have no links, list of features on the left bottom link only to #, already mentioned lorem ipsum, hopefully temporary logo etc.
Should it be free than it's understandable, but paid...

For me the main reason for not joining would be fear of pings with generally all foreign hosters anyway... local hosters have pings close to zero, I'd fear going past 100ms with foreign ones (especially after PAINFUL experience with dreamhost...that was naive...that weren't ms but seconds)

I do both I offer hosting and run my own sites. Pimpin 2.0 was hosted by me .Which we are moving servers now.  www.biocity-rpg.com is host there as well.

Many of the things you see are temp but i can only do so much at one time. This is what i want everyone to do pick the site apart tell me what would make you not want to buy hosting. One thing i was going to do is give out free hosting with cpanel. Just so a few people can try out the new hosting.

sorry for the dub post
Even if your account uses 100 GB of disk space, You will never get kicked  off and you can continue uploading. These days server disk drives are very cheap we get a 2000GB disk drive for just $40 per month. So, if one day, we start running out of disk space, we simply attach new disk drive and you can continue uploading without interruptions. so if 500 customers and the biggest account takes "only" 50 GB of disk space, so even in the worst case scenario, we could still put 40 such customers on a single disk drive and then attach new disk drives with minimal costs.

I see lots of mentions of disk space and bandwidth, but nothing about backups or reliability - how are your servers configured to allow you to add in drives without any slowdown? Are you using RAID 5, RAID 10, or something else? Do you do backups? Are they monthly? Weekly? Nightly? Hourly? Where is the actual agreement where you outline your 99.9% uptime guarantee(as seen on your features page), and what you will do to compensate customers if you can't satisfy that requirement?

Thanks for guys, ill try and get into more content later on to.then ill explain more about what type of hosting I can give. Now i need a good logo.Privacy Policy done! I i got to do terms.
I do have a live chat systeam but should I make a FAQ or a guild type help center. Also keep in mind that most people on the web are not tech friendly, reliability A+ never had a problem, backups can be done on your own cpanel.but we do backup data on sever daily why not we got the space.Backup are keep 60 days then removed.what the plan was is to allow a few members maybe 100-500 at max this way there are no slowdowns.the big problem with host like godaddy, bluehost, justhost is that they have 1,000,000's of members on there servers. site always stat 99.9% uptime but what about that 00.1%. Think of it like this what if myspace or facebook was hosted on godaddy, what whould that do to your own web site speed.only way is to go det

First of all people should always have there own back ups(make sure you tell them even though you do back ups they should do there own) Second there is no guarantee 99.9% uptime if there is then expect the host to go down after some time cause no upgrading or maintenance is being done on it. Remember to be a hands on person if you want your hosting to go far too. A support forum live chat are all good things but if you use a live chat i hope you got lots of time to be on it cause it looks bad when it is not available very much.(best to have the times stated when it is available)

I really can't see who would use your hosting service to help you test your skills - certainly, of course, nothing critical... but I'm not even sure I would want to host a development or personal website with you based upon this thread. Just being honest.
