I just found this site and wanted to say hello to everyone.

Just a few months ago, I discovered browser based games and spent some time playing a few to get a feel for them. My experience is rather deep in php / mysql / xhtml / javascript / sql...and some other skills such as graphics. I already have a game in mind and have already been working on the game design (pre-code).

I hope that I will find kindred spirits in these posting and will do my best to answers any questions I can.

I will be needing help in one area (mainly); UI design. I understand most BB Games are text based and lite on the graphics, but I have a idea to make a more graphical interface. I will make a post later on when I'm closer to early coding.

Eventho you haven't asked yet, here's one of the many reasons BB games are mostly text-based:
loading-speed.

If a pages isn't loaded after x seconds (and x can be quite small), a lot of users will find the game to be not in their taste.

try a game call tribal wars. It has a graphic map and village interface that load very quickly (imo) and is a excelent example of how it can be done.

This does not seam to affect their membership, I estimate it at around 28k in all five (maybe six now) worlds. most of the members I suspect are repeats, that is why I do not think it is as high as they state.
