Greetings!
« on: February 10, 2011, 09:02:49 AM »
Greetings everyone!  I've been lurking around the site for a couple of weeks, and finally decided i should just join up.

I actually came here by way of the Building Browser Games site, which has been sadly static for almost a year now.  I don't know if Luke is still around, or hangs out here, but kudos to him for a job well done.

I'm not new to games in general, but I'm fairly new to the idea of building my own browser based games.  Like everyone here, I'm sure I've had game ideas burning in my brain for quite a while, and I'm excited about the possibilities presented by BBGs.  I realize they've been around for quite a while, but BBGs seem like the final frontier for individual/small group developers.

Anyway, I'm looking forward to getting to know all of you, and I will do my best to participate in the forums as much as possible.

And special recognition goes out to the admins for keeping this site running and relevant.

Thanks,

Fovis Joris

Hello  :)

About BuildingBrowsergames, back in summer Luke (bbgames) said he was getting ready for a relaunch sometime soon, haven't heard anything since then though.
Projects: Pith Framework (at 0.5), CactusGUI (at 0.3)

The relaunch of buildingbrowsergames.com was put on hold due to poor demand and lack of financial viability at that time. Maybe things'll change in the future; I certainly hope so. Luke's Web site was also how I stumbled upon BBGameZone.
Currently working on an HTML5 canvas 2.5D landscape renderer and a PBBG that uses it (http://fleetingfantasy.com/). The development blog's at http://fleetingfantasy.wordpress.com/.
What are BBGameZone members working on? See the game list.
