Hello Everyone!

Hello, everyone. I've been working on a browser game for the last year now and I thought I'd drop by and see if I can add anything to the ongoing discourse. Also, I'm looking to pick up some tips and tricks, especially in terms of speeding up the A* path-finding algo I wrote in PHP.

The game I'm working on is based on the classic, table-top RPG Shadowrun, and the alpha is currently running here: Shadowrun: Corrosion.

How come it looked nothing like this when I logged in?  Certainly you're not developing all of this without alpha testing.

I'm not sure what you're referring to, this is all available and online right now. Is your character name Marteau? I know there are still quite a few things to iron out in IE and there are quite a few glitches there. Is that what you're referring to?

No, I registered as CygnusX.  I got to a page that asked me to distribute points... and it didn't seem to work.  After playing with it for 2-3 minutes, I concluded the site was just not functional, and left.

Ah.   I figured it out.  I didn't understand the priority system for registration.  You may want to consider some reworks for this to make it less confusing....

Oh yeah, it's not particularly intuitive, I agree. It's something that's going to have to be encapsulated in a tutorial when the time comes.

Also, the character creation part is hardly hack-proof. :)
