Hey All
« on: October 06, 2009, 06:13:19 AM »
I have been search the web for a forum that provides support to those creating PBBGs and am glad that I found this site.

I am 28 years old and based in Kuwait. I have been creating games as a hobby for the past 2 years now. I have not much to show that is worthwhile in terms of computer based games, but I have dabbled in XNA and used SDL libs, etc. I got hooked onto creating a PBBG after I started playing a couple of cricket games online.

I am currently in the planning process of text-based tennis simulation game. I have a good grip on programming languages like C, C++. I will be learning PHP for this game.

Hope I can learn as well as contribute on this forum.

Hi!

Since you already know C(++) I think PHP won't be a problem for you
Meet us at an IRC irc.freenode.net #bbg as well

Agreed, PHP and C++ have many similarities. But you may fiind yourself wishing for enums. Also, if you use less than PHP 5.3, you'll be disappointed with the lack of namespaces. lol

No language is perfect. ;)
Idiocy - Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups.
