PBMax new to the scene

Hello all!

Just found this site looking for PBBGs and it looks like the right place! I'm still in the planning stages of my game and trying out different scripts to see what would work best. After reading a few articles here, I may very well do my own from scratch. Great site!

It's been too many years since my C programming days but my HTML/CSS is up to par... Database programming - not since MS Access in the '90s... PHP - it's what's for dinna! (more like a lite lunch) but it's coming along very slowly. ;D

Welcome PBMax. Its sometimes better to start from scratch. I am currently doing that and it has been easier than trying to figure out someone else's code.

Welcome and yes sometimes starting from scratch is best unless your really lucky and find someone with a similar coding style.

Welcome. Add my assent to the "start from scratch" theory as well. And I'll offer a different reason - Maintenance! lol

Once your game is online and, hopefully, people are playing they will be submitting bug reports. If you know the system, it will be much easier for you to fix them. ;)

Thank you all for the words of wisdom! Depending on how soon I tie up the loose ends in the planning stage, I may do a combination of both.
