Minigame
« on: May 21, 2008, 06:44:51 PM »
Ok so I want to create a small mini game, as if you were mining. I want the following features:

-size: 600x600 pixels

-I want it to look like a rock, then you have, say, 25 clicks before it's over, and I want to make it so that it looks like you have a drill and it looks like it drills when you click. I want it to be random where-and if- anything is under those clicks, by showing a picture and a little message at the bottom saying something like 'you've mined -X amount- of titanium!' I wan the number to be random, also. Heh! I want all this and I want the items to be somehow sent to that person's main game.

Would Java be the best way to do this? If so, how would I go about doing it this way?
:) :D :) :D :) :D :) :D :) :D :) :D :) :D

As you've described it both Java and Flash should be able to handle it. As far as I know, both should be able to make a call back to the server (provided it's on the same domain the minigame downloaded from) to notify the server that some specific task was accomplished.

Somebody fairly skilled with JavaScript could likely pull it off too, it would matter how sophisticated you wanted the game to be on the client side.
