I choose the 360-

atm, i think the ps3's graphics isnt really taken advantage of, because most games are developed to be cross-platform. So, it's just an added expense to me xD

because i'm a student, i'm trying to keep my costs down- however, one thing that does draw me to the ps3 is the technical problems (my 360 broke yesterday for the first time :( )

I say PS3.

At the moment graphics are about the same. 
PSN is free.
Built in web browser.
Blu-ray movies.
You can use just about any 2.5-inch SATA notebook hard disk. So you are not limited to the first party hard drive.
It supports Linux so you can turn it into  a computer.
With games becoming larger by the day a 50gb storage media is a good thing. It will be upped to 500gb thanks to Pioneer.(blu-ray disk)
The number of games are about equal. Each system having there heavy hitters. 
I for one want a 360  for Fable 2.

SNES, duh....wait, that wasn't an option >.<

personally i dont really like either of the 2 systems much. But if i had to choose one it would definantly be XBox. buying a PS3 when it cant play PS2 games just doesnt make sense in my mind.

The xbox 360 has project natal :)

Hopefully they'll be able to get rid of all the problems! What they're doing looks VERY difficult...

natal looks silly...even more than the wii lol. cool concept but i don't even want to imagine what the support people are going to go through when it comes out. getting it to work right is going to be an act of congress.

I always seen the x-box as a pc in a box .... having owned a lot of consoles i've become fan of playstation a long time ago. Games like gran turismo, burnout made my day :) I did some some development on the PsP, but stopped it.

I read the description for it and now I have to buy one.

As for XBox vs PS3, while the XBox does have a few games that I want (such as Fable) I will have to go with the PS3 for the same reasons as Toxin.

xbox 360 is what I chose, if the consoles were the same cost, or even had similar game line ups I would have picked the PS3 because you can really mod it up quite a bit and in the future its going to be the better system, once devs figure out how to use it to its max.
