It has come to my attention a few things. Being the game artist, I didn't catch this until I was talking to my partner, Kevin the Coder.
1) Our game, Cubicle Battles, uses some Javascript, NOT Java, because Javascript is the basic language built into browsers. We are not sure what Banning "Java' exactly means. Server side we use PHP.
2) Our game does use Flash for battle animations, but we can just turn the battle animations OFF for the final entry to the judges. Is that ok since there will be no flash in the game for the judging?
3) This may be walking the fine line, but can we keep the Flash animations on for the final entry, yet just have whoever is judging our game turn their flash off? Flash on or off will not affect the game in anyway, and it will still work fine. This is so people who are not judging us can still enjoy the beta with flash, while those who are in charge of the contest will not be 'swayed' by flash with it off for them.
Now, I welcome opinions from the peanut gallery, but I would like to have an official, if at all possible, tell my team a yes or no. And if this is the wrong place for this, I am sorry!
