Hey folks, I am co-owner of an Austin Based Startup. We are currently in rapid development of 3 games/apps that we are producing.
We have a severe lack in art resources and are looking for folks who are interested in doing game and application art for web based products.
We are operating in a very large market and our core area is monitization through virtual items, virtual currency and the freemium business model.
While this is an offshot of Browser Based games we are operating in one of the largest sectors of gaming.
We are looking for these type of skills (not necessarily one person)
Graphical 2D Work - (Icons, Interface Pieces, Game Art, Character Art, Character Illustration, Object Art, Logo's, Splash Art)
Interface Front End Work - (Dhtnl, Ajax, Java Script, Web Layout, (I hate to use the term) web 2.0 concept.)
We are also interested in talking to php folks with background in browser based games.
We are mostly looking for people with Skill, Desire, Commitment, Drive. Experience is a minor consideration.
Project work, freelance work is also possible. So if you have experience that's good too.
The ultimate goal would be to find motovated and driven folks looking for a shot into the game industry who would become our core art team.
But we also need people who are just looking for pick up work, portfolio work, short term gigs.. ect ect...
