Cruel Online
« on: November 29, 2011, 09:54:29 AM »
Hello guys,

i think i can introduce my Project now.

Actually iam working on Cruel Online this game should be a Roleplay Game.

About the Project
This Project is using Kohana 3.2 Framework, Serverside and jQuery /jQuery UI Clientside.
The Graphics was used from http://opengameart.org/ and http://www.reinerstileset.de/ (except the Content Image, it was made by a friend)
You can login there with Test Account
username: test
password: testing

What does work
Actually not much.
1)Youre able to Register and Login.
2)Create/Delete a Character and Move(animated) over a Map.
3)Youre not able to walk over water(Colision Detection).

What is planed next
1) Displaying other Players and updating them near realtime with NowJS
2) Roundbased Battlesystem with others or alone
3) Small chat

So i if i made new Updates, i will post it here. If you have some Questions, feel to free to ask me:D If you see Gramma mistakes in my English Translation, please let me know:D

Best Regards BlackScorp

As you said not much there yet

- the activation link should ideally lead to a page with a language that the user had registered with
- after logging in imho should be redirected right to the char. selection screen
- buttons felt kinda too shiny
- is it possible to deselect character now?
- do you plan path search or moving by holding mouse instead of clicking?

the ingame screen looks nice, animations nicely smooth
Meet us at an IRC irc.freenode.net #bbg as well

Hello guys,

iam Proud to annouce that ,after 11 Hours of Coding and testings, the game support Realtime Updates now. Now you can see how other players are walking on the Map.

Next todo is to enable Interface and Begin with the Code of a battle. The battle will be realized with GameQuery and will be similar to Final Fantasy 6-7 Style(Round Based but a round takes view seconds not waiting for others)

More Updates coming.. stay tuned;)

Best regards BlackScorp

Pretty cool :)

It would be nice if you could hold the mouse button down and have him keep walking.

Looks like a pretty solid base so far.
