It is our pleasure to announce that we are working on a MMORPG called Deepfield Civilization. We plan to include revolutionary features such as ?lifespan? for characters in the game, increasing realism and making DFCIV incredibly playable.  The game will be user-driven and extremely flexible and dynamic.

Project Deepfield is currently in Pre-Production and looking people who are willing to join the project. We are seeking those with a knowledge of PHP, HTML, XHTML, DHTML, CSS, JS, or general graphics design. If you consider yourself a coder and know one of those languages, come apply or ask us for more info at www.dfciv.com

We are also looking for people who are familiar with standard MMORPG design and would like to participate in Pre-Production and maybe help out later for as Moderators or Support Technicians.

This is a great opportunity to take part in the designing and construction of a new game that is guaranteed to be the next big thing in online gaming.   :mib:

What type of game is it?
From the banner and name, I'm guessing it's a space strategy?

It is a space strategy, but it is much more than the typical space sim.  This game will be incredibly realistic, so there is no "managing your empire" from a single page, etc.

One will play a character, and this game will not be turn-based.  So, the player will choose whether or not to ever leave the home planet.  But it will not be a quick and easy to build a million ships.

Is it going to be some sort of round based game? I.e. New round every so often with new features etc? Or ongoing?

It will be ongoing, but because of players ability to add new items (through research), the game will be constantly changing.  There will not be turns. Although there will be a character energy that will drain during actions, and recharge when resting.  This will be the only game where you have to sleep :D

When one character is sleeping, you can play another (up to any number of characters).  In this way, you can control how involved in the game you are.

Interesting concept.. I quite like it - it eliminates having to catch out multi accounts -- and is sleeping in "real-time" i.e. every real minute you sleep, you get x energy?
