Version 0.1 Released!
Project Website: http://code.google.com/p/ezrpg
Download: http://code.google.com/p/ezrpg/downloads/list
Demo: http://www.bbgamezone.net/ezrpg

=========================================================

I'm making a simple RPG game for other people to download and use, and it's called ezRPG.
I made a google project for it just now, so there's no code up yet, but I've got a feature list on it so you can see what I plan for it :)

http://code.google.com/p/ezrpg/

It may very well turn out as nothing, so don't get any hopes up or anything :)
If that happens, I'll just leave the code up so ppl can learn from it or whatever..

Well, you have a nice, simple plan to start with and I think you'll get to a first release.

but still: Good Luck

P.S: I guess getting a team to work on something like this is too hard. OS is the way to go and just start on your own. If people like it, they will join : )

Hmm, alright. I'll try to get a demo up and post back when it's there.
Don't expect too much though :P There's practically nothing to do yet (can't buy stuff, can't battle)...

I'm sure it will be very educational for those like myself just starting out. I look forward to seeing it in action!

Alright, here's the demo: http://www.bbgamezone.net/ezrpg
I've done nothing to the code, it's pretty much exactly as it is in the subversion repository. (except the config file of course)
The subversion repository is on the google project website, so you can check out the source code there, and compare it with the demo :)

Edit:
Here's a direct link to the latest source code: http://ezrpg.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/

I just finished the battle page today :)
I hope it works fine. there's still a bit of extra stuff to add/consider, and some testing to iron out the bugs.
Some small bug fixes were also included in the update. The new files are all up on the demo game.

Reminds me very much of my NodeGame Engine ;) Very nice work.

Small suggestion.. When listing who you can battle via member's page or attack page use alternating row colors :) Lot of white space between the name of the person and the attack link so it makes it difficult to really know which attack link is for which person.

Can't wait to see some more ;)

Verion 0.1 has been released. The download is available on the project website.
The demo is still the same URL, all the files have been updated.

Its been some time since you last updated ezRPG, I like the way its set up and i had an idea that you didn?t put on the wiki on google, it just seems like an RPG would need a Quest menu...  Just an idea.

Ah yes, quests are essential to RPGs ;)
The problem is, I don't know how to set it up. ezRPG doesn't have a traditional inventory system, there are only weapons and armour, so you can't collect items as a quest with the current version of ezRPG.

I'll put it on my to-do list though, for a later version.

I've been working on ezRPG but it's all in terms of source code, so you won't really see any updates until I've released the next version. The next version will have an auto-installer, an admin panel and support for multiple languages.
At the moment, I'm working on converting all the static text on the pages into variables, and it's taking longer than I expected :P (I've also been busier lately :/)

Yeah i know that the instructions are in the README file but i can't add... (the first thing i do when installing a game is to read the instructions)... Please somebody... www.Hcomunity.srv.ro is my host... (i translate it in roumanian and i guess you don't understand) but i can't add weapons and armors in the game... (in my game root & antivirus  -_- )... please somebody can gimme not the whole database but only the "blueprint_items" table... I need only an item added, an example, because i will add the other... 10x

PS. sorry again for my english...

Later Edit: don't reply to me... i found how to add items... i wait for the next version of the game  --)
