Medieval Era - Progress & Needs

Greetings, I am the project owner of Medieval Era which is a text-based Online Role Playing Game that will be similar to that of Syrnia and / or Movoda.
The script is based off of the ezRPG code but most of the ezRPG project code is deleted and only a few things that make things easier remain.

I have been coding this game for about a week and here is my progress:
  • Basic Location Created and Populated
  • Mining Skill
  • Woodcutting Skill
  • Fishing Skill
  • 1 - 2 Items Per Skill
  • Bot Question to Stop Bots while working
  • Working Inventory (Similar to that of ezRPG just more advanced)
  • Level System
  • Basic Template
  • and More...

I have MANY things I want to do and in time I hope I can get them finished. My main hold up currently is that I want to create an AJAX chat for it but I must learn AJAX first. :P
After that I will program some basic forums.
After that I have plans to use a program to try and hack my site anyway possible. Then patch all vulnerabilities.

Then, once all those are done, I will get a host, upload the files and make sure everything works, then get some testers.

That's what I am mainly needing is testers. In a couple of weeks I am going to need as many testers as I can get. So if any of you want to help test the game when it is finished, please post below so I can notify you upon completion.

Btw, on the mining image, ignore the debugging information, only the admin will see it.

I can help you test the game, just drop me a pm when you are ready.

About Ajax chat, just go to here and download a script or two to see how the javascript is made. After that its easy to make your own.


I can send you pics of my cocks if you want reference.

I have already done that and none of them fit my needs. So I am downloading a bunch of vid tutorials on Javascript / Ajax.

I have a very simple and basic AJAX chat box in one of my games, Click PBBG (take a look if you want: http://www.clickpbbg.com/).

If that's what you're looking for, or if you would like to use it as a base, I can send you the code for it :)
(Or you can just take the JS code yourself)

EDIT: Just so I don't double post, hope you read this: I took your code anyway just modified it. Instead of storing files in a text file I did everything by database instead. Works great now also. Just the forums to go, security checks and fixes, then I am ready for some testing! WOOT!

Hello, the project is ready for Testing Phase 1. Anyone else want to test? For those that said they wanted to, will now be getting the URL.

That's not a problem. Currently the game is down after a 2 day testing period. Found a lot of bugs and I discovered a new way to code it. So I am going to recode it, fix bugs, clean up code, and relaunch for testing Phase 2 that will hopefully last longer.

Hmm, guess I was wrong then lol...

Anyway, if anyone here knows Javascript, check this page: http://www.ezrpgproject.com/forum/index.php?topic=499.0 and see if you have a solution? It is driving me crazy and putting this project on hold...

You know, you will be finding a new and better way of coding things all the time. If you start again everytime you discover that you can do it better you will be doing basic features forever and ever...
