Online Hockey Leaue

Hello everyone, I don't really post much on these forums although I am quite an avid reader of them. Just figured I would point that out, so I don't look like that guy who goes around posting his game on every forum.

Anyways, I have been working on this game on and off now for quite some time and as it stands now it is pretty playable, not all of the features I would like to add have been added. But, it is playable and I wanted to see what the community thought of it. I will list some information below.

Game Type: Online browser based sports manager game

Basicly, you make your team(Can manage up 7 teams atm), pick your players, setup your game strategy and then start playing your team against other managers teams in either friendly matches or join a league of 8 or 16 other teams.


I am really the only one who has tested it, never had other people testing it out. So if you would like to try it, please don't be afraid to point anything out. I am prepared for "Bug Central" lol.

Registration form: Not sure if the first name / last name fields are needed, as other folks often mention -> the fewer inputs on the reg form the better. Also you might not want to use email validation until you have a good sized number of players.

Email: On the validation email, email was well written; emailing the username+password isn't always a good idea as a hacked email account == hacked game account. Anyway my password displayed in the email is missing the last char. Liked the "Account Retrieval Code" idea a lot, seems like a very good idea, if your "Account Retrieval" system is automated maybe have the Retrieval Code be a bit longer to help a little bit against brute-forcing.

Login: logged in using the login that was on the email that had the password's last char missing, maybe does it shorten the pass to 15 chars? Otherwise I typed the pass wrong twice on the newuser page...

In-game everything I looked at looked nice and functional =)

Thanks for the input on the registration, I had the password max at 15 which is kind of low. I raised that.
