I have had Pirates Glory nomimated ( http://browsergameoftheyear.com/nominees ) but no prize.

However this particular contest is organized by a german company (GforGaming who also owns galaxy-news) and seems to promote the german games against others. I may be wrong as this is only an observation.

If you see this year contest as well as all the rest, all winners are German games. There may be a couple of non-german as I have not checked them all but all the ones I did, they were german.

Besides, no one knows who the juries are. It is just another site that decides to give yearly awards and I do not see why this should be of any important notice.

I think they ignored everyone not listed on galaxy-news (I sent them my nomination as well, but it was not on their toplist).

Winning such awards got an impact in term of direct traffic or is it just "glory"?
