Project Wonderful Results
« on: November 19, 2008, 06:38:46 PM »
Some of you may know that I run a game called Stroceta. You can check it out at Stroceta.net

Anyway, I have been trying multiple ad companies, the good and the bad. I just want to say, that the 2 I found the best were Adsense and Project Wonderful. The problem with Adsense is, it was only good for the first month or less then earnings went down to only $1.50 a day (When I was getting up to $6.00 a day!)

So, I switched to Project Wonderful, and after only about 4 days, here is my results:
http://www.projectwonderful.com/advertisehere.php?id=28359&type=2
http://www.projectwonderful.com/advertisehere.php?id=28360&type=5

That ain't half bad. Now here is the trick for all you Project Wonderful members or possible members. Run the adbox deactivated for about 3 days to 7 days to get your averages up, then set a minimum bid, I set mine to $2.50 on the leaderboard ad and $0.25 on the Button ad. What you should set is up to you, base it on your number of visits etc.

Setting a minimum bid makes the advertisers willing to pay a bit more than others attracted to your ad. If you set no minimum, people can basically advertise on your site for pretty much free. (Yes, I have done this myself I spent 10 cents on about 32 clicks and over 10,000 impressions, you can't beat that!)

Anyway, this is just my 2 cents. Project Wonderful is awesome, and the ads are quality, beats all others!

Nice! I've been experimenting with Adsense and Project Wonderful on Building Browsergames, although I have to say that I haven't really been impressed with either. I didn't even realize that you could set a minimum bid on your ad boxes - here's hoping that that helps out a bit.

i quit using PW after a couple months, not worth it as publisher. if you have the time then you can get sweet deals as an advertiser... i quit both.
