Game name: how does "Cheaping Ceaster" sound?
« on: July 04, 2008, 09:54:55 AM »
Hey,

I was brainstorming on a name for my game and I came up with 3 names:
1. Cheaping (which is old english for "trading")
2. Ceaster (wich is old english for "city")
3. Cheaping Ceaster (wich I would translate as "trading city")

I chose this names because of their meaning and because of how they sound.

What do you think about these names? Wich think you that is the best? Or do you hate them all?   :D

PS: My game is in a very, very early state. I began by choosing a name becaus I wanted to make a logo first, and then built my layout in the style of my logo. Do you think this is a good apraoch?

I think you are wasting time on unimportant things. No one cares what the game name is, no one cares what the logo looks like.

One advice, make yourself a deadline. The release date that can not be moved and strive to make a playable version before that. It is a good approach.

'Trading City' is the best from these, it is good for SEO ("trading" keyword) and easy to understand for uneducated players.
