What do you think is the most popular browser-based text game?
I know a couple of games that have over 2000 members, but that's still not so popular...

I only know of neopets, which has millions of users.

Runescape is another popular browser-based game.

Kingdom of Loathing is pretty big,
Legend of the Green Dragon has a pretty big following as well

Never heard of kingdom of loathing, but I know of legend of the green dragon

It's a nice game, I hosted one once.

cyarbrough is me... Yea I developed the first "big" skins for that game...

MightE and I had a falling out though about database design so I left that project.

I loved the LoTGD idea and still do but the database and some of the architecture has a

one of my favourites is http://www.pimpin.com.au
has over 40,000 players.
Is one of the better pimp sites, constantly upgrading code.
But have to be online pretty regularly to be competitive.
& Admin are always right onto che@ts & spammers.
But can be a bit of a pain in the butt sometimes...

PDU has an evil twin sister http://www.pimpineuro.com
Which is also fun to play, not as many players tho.

Advantages these games have over some others are the various options for buying turns, not only PayPal, but via bank transfer & SMS!

Runescape isn't text based....

I don't know about popularity, but my personal favorite would have to be Kingdom of Loathing.

well i am only new to playing online games but i have found a few ok one,s www.sepica.com and www.treadon.us the first one has like 7 games on that site and the second one has over 7500 player,s and it is dopewars

Pimpkane is a pretty active site. I am running a similar script but finding it hard to change the layout. I sent one of the php pages to a coder and he told me it's all badly coded and that im better of redoing the whole script. It's not going to be easy and I don't really have the time at the minute.

pimpkane is 1 of the shoddiest games out there bud - sorry.

i reckon i probly played about 40 diff pimp sites so far & gotta say, pimindown under & pimpin euro r best.

I can't recommend playing it however

the staff system and lag are horrible, many staff cheat/exploit their tools. Its a good game though (and a competitor to me) but my experience hasn't been too good with it
