This is nice and all.....plenty of games being mentioned that ive either played or heard of before.....but it would be really great if people could spend a few lines describing what aspect of the game they liked or was original....or what aspect turned them off...given that most of us here could probably be considered experts

 id like to hear your expert opinion why the game is good or not.

for instance i was playing travian a while back, what i really liked was the crisp clean interface, not to heavy and/or covered in hundreds of images, I also enjoyed the mix of strategy and resource building....However downsides for me, and what eventually drove me to stop playing, were the bias towards players that can be online 24/7, the nail in the coffin...that there seemed to be no attempt to stop shared accounts being played by 3,4 or more individuals....I dont mind some people having an advantage but i prefer at least a reasonably level playing field.

Another game thats been mentioned above....knightfight....very simple game mechanics, basically a pure pvp, suffers from balancing problems, and has new serveritis, basically large numbers of players migrate to new servers when they open, leaving old servers to stagnate and die.. but as mentioned a nice approach to allowing variable leght 'missions' that can absorb playing time when your not online.

Ive dabbled with chosenspace too, graphically quite poor, but hey i was addicted to elite on a C64 as a teenie... while i was playing, a new version of the game was being beta'd (dunno if it still is) has a large and complex player driven economy....I liked the idea that a chracter didnt have any stats, you were basically as smart or as reckless as you yourself, the only difference between a new player and an existing player was built up resources, in terms of cash and spaceships...unfortunately because it was still in beta a lot of the functionality from the earlier version wasnt available yet, so besides trading there wasnt a great deal to do,,,,and eventually i lost interest...i plan too look in on it again some day...

Interestingly enough...or not as the case may be.....one genre that ive never played is mafia games,.....just doesnt appeal to me...
