Hi. I want to create a game with action taking place in modern times. I was thinking at a taxi manager (every user manages his taxi company) ... Other ideas?

I don't know.... I don't think we should "assign" you any theme (I would rather say theme, type would be rpg, strategy...), you should choose what you like.

If you're not particulary fast you'd be stuck with the theme for a while and favoring the topic will help you to retain motivation to continue and finish the game.

So...choose a theme that is close to you and you consider cool.

If you want to go for transport sim then airline tycoon is better in terms of features (routes, airport slots auction, hubs, terrorists, seasoned promotions, networks of attractions/hotels), gives you more freedom.

How about a truck company sim? It could be similar to transport tycoon, but you can add your own stuff.

I would like some sort of a street racing component. Especially tuning cars, training or buying racers with the right attitude and taking care of the police. This would be more of a long-distance taxi company transporting people or items very fast.
