Graphic design
« on: February 17, 2009, 01:57:18 AM »
I have noticed that ALOT of you are very experienced in graphic designs...
Items, characters, vehicles and more.
What programs are you using when creating this?

I found 1 character maker, but it didnt work so great.. Alot of graphics where missing and it was really hard to use.
Am at work now so I do not remember what the name of the program is..

I use Adobe PS CS3, but I am not that advanced in the creation of items and characters..
One of the sites here I have found alot of great things in, is Pitstopboss.co.uk
This game rules and I have gotten friends to join up. It contains alot of cool graphics..
Same thing with Galaxy Commander and a couple of other sites.

Any programs recommended?

You're using the best, stick with it (edit: well not "stick", of course you can try other one's, but this one's very good)
And it's mainly not about what you use, but how you use it

http://www.temujin.cz/en_tvorba.htm (mainly look at matte painting (it's work with photos) and concept art)
...
^ just see what can be done with it

Very good to have tablet, 've never regeretted I bought one
Having images and photos help, you can find free ones on www.sxc.hu, www.cgtextures.com

For minimalization of size (resave) of final images and bench processing use XnView
