im new to..everything *help*

im kinda new to ,ya know, everything haha.
i want to gte around to making a basic text/browser game. i would like to structure it kinda like that pokemonmoon one. www.tpmrpg.net. at the moment it doesnt have a whole lot on it. but i like it.

i know a bit of html. and slowly trying to learn php.

someones going to say  'you cant just make a game' . im smart enough to know that mate haha.

what i want to know is what are some easy programs/small games i could try to make in the mean time and where can i go for tutorials and to learn more about php etc

The best way to learn, I have found, is to think of a project that means something to YOU. You're more likely to actually learn from a project of your own choosing than from one supplied to you by someone else.

You could do little things that could make life a bit easier for yourself:
Code a movie / music database
Create a website that combines a group of your favorite RSS feeds and extracts a specified number of entries for display
etc.

Once you have done some simple tasks such as this, start moving on to more complex uses.
