Hey,
I'm interested in making an economical strategy game, where the main resource will be money/credits or smth like that, and sub-resources like gold,shares,silver,platinum and so on. The main goal of the game would be to start your own business from nothing and maybe later if you have what it takes, become the CEO of the game's largest firm/coproration/industry.

A similar, but more basic game was www.businesia.com , but for some reason they dodn't exist anymore. So, I'd like to create my own game.

Now.. I have limited understanding in php,html (basic). I have set up some private servers of MU Online and Lineage 2 so I know some bits about MySQL and working process with the database.

I've read most of the topics in the Newcomer's section, and didn't find anything that would explain how to start, so I'm hoping that you guys will help me with that,

Basically, make sure you know enough PHP and HTML to understand scripts and to be able to modify them.
I'd suggest starting by setting up a simple game using a free script, then modify small bits of it until you get how it works and how the different files fit together. Once you understand that, you can start making bigger changes, or even adding your own ideas to the game.

A nice script to start with might be Kill Monster or Exofusion.
Kill Monster can be found on the internet from google, and possibly exofusion too.

I just released a basic game script called ezRPG, and it might also help, although I'm not sure if it would help newbies. Some of the code I use in it is a little bit more advanced, but you can try
