Framework/game engine
« on: January 25, 2011, 02:11:05 PM »
I want to make an online rugby manager game (like hattrick.org or tenismasters).
I tried to search an fast framework with not so many functions wich would help me with mysql queries (because my script has a lot of mysql queries). But I didn't found one.
What do you think? EzRPG is good for my project?
Would you recommand anything else?

Best regards,
icsulescu

For my project I am using symfony and Doctrine. It is not specifically game orientated but it has been very useful to develop features quickly.

In that ^ case depending on the time estimate and your opinion on not-officially-released works you might consider Symfony2&Doctrine2 (D2 is finished but S2 is "preview release" (whatever it means) and due to in March 2011, so soon...however it's still be a new product)

ezRPG is for RPG, so not sure it's good for you... Still this is the best (reasonable) framework I have seen so far.
