FireFox page resize bug
« on: October 01, 2010, 04:48:48 AM »
When you set resize the page option (CTRL +) in FireFox 3.6.10 it resizes images the wrong way. There will be a new line added at the bottom of the image, but the line will be taken from the top of the image, not from the bottom, so it makes all vertical gradients broken.

Is this a new bug or was in older versions as well? Do they intend to fix it? Or maybe should I just make the gradiented images bigger than needed so it has more bottom lines to choose from?

Can you give an example of this? I'm actually using that particular version. I haven't seen any issues at all.

Click "CTRL +" (from default page size) once and see what happens to the Login button (a light yelow line at the bottom, just before border).

Actually, I think it has something to do with the border. If you hit CTRL-+ a few times you can see it.

OK, the image was sligtly too small. When you make an image you have to also draw the part that will be covered by border. Otherwise with FireFox page resize  it will resize it improperly (or we could use "no repeat y" I guess).
