how in the world do i make <select>s flow in the same direction?

Ok i've been puzzled by this one because as of late my select boxes are flowing differently. One is going up and one is going down. What i'd like to do is force the browser to have them all flowing out and down even though i believe it is doing it to try to not use the little "scroll bar" but i'd still like for it to do so as it makes it feel more natural to me atleast. If anyone has any idea on how to do this that'd be greatly appreciated.

I think it will go down if there is space to render it or up otherwise. Redesigning the page so there is always enough space should solve it.

ah yeah... i was hoping it'd be a tad bit more simple than that. Since the <selects> are of varying length and well i didn't want to have to sit down and count how far it had to go down.
