Artist and Copy Cats
« on: February 15, 2010, 07:01:51 PM »
Hey Folks,

I'm building a new site, in which indie developers can create a project for an artist, http://www.pixelbuyers.com. It's sort of like 99designs.com but for game developers.

So here is the question. You a developer, make a post (I need an RPG mage for between $10 and $50)

Is it fair to allow one artist to see another artist submission or would this be opening the door for a lot of copy cat problems?

Right now, it's an option to turn off this ability but I'm thinking that this would drive a lot of the pricing that artist might place on their work.

I'd appreciate your thoughts (and gals).

ummm, the sites is in extremely early beta, as in this is the first time I've shared it, so signup at your own risk. *grin*

I'm not exactly ready to go live just yet.

Pretty neat idea. You need to target a lot of artists so that there is a constant supply. We all know how the demand for art is... :)
